I just got hit by it on Intel GMA965. This is the first time. Some extra things worth considering: 1. I'm using a multi-head setup (1280x800+0+224 + 1280x1024+1280+0) with Compiz running. 2. I'm using a patched mesa, to break the 2048x2048 false 'hardware' limit placed on Intel GMA965.
