Should this fix work also for degraded raid not on boot partition?
I have a machine with non-raid root partition (indeed it's hw raid) and
some extra software raid space which is in fstab to be mounted on pass
2. I'm doing some tests with this setup in a VM.
I tried with stock 8.04.1 and if I rem

Yea that was kind off what I mean. That just the default bottom border
is set to high.
Tested your suggestion and as I use A4 as default changed it to 9.72
(same as top margin) and that worked perfectly. Now top and bottom
margin are the same and printout margins are pretty close to what they

Yes, I agree that the problem seems to be related to pulseaudio (it is
the only part of the sound system that includes networking), but I
really like pulse and don't want to uninstall it.

This seems to be a bug in the xserver-xorg-video-radeon driver becasue
with xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd I get the full resolution (though other
bugs like a wrong frequency of only 60 MHz instead of the needed 108
MHz. I'll open another bug for that issue.

I'm looking at the unix display code in my spare time since no one in
Ubuntu is looking at this.
I have a workaround that I found in a povray forum
(http://news.povray.org/povray.unix/thread/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/).
If you add "-visual DirectColor" to the command line the problem goes
away, at least f
David, then it is as I recommend on OpenPrinting. Due to the low memory
this printer works best as a PCL printer.
But it also seems that in PostScript one can also do better with a more
optimized PPD (especially for the users who have added memory to the
printer). Can you have a look at the two at
