I just installed the latest version 0.5.18 and the problem persists. However
the warnings and logs seem to have changed. I am attaching the log file.
Please take a look. Some more information:
$ uname -r
2.6.27-8-generic
It did not work with the earlier kernel too.

Here's my modified xorg.conf that uses VESA to get 1024x768. It lists
1280x800 but this resolution does not appear as an option in the "Screen
Resolution" graphical frontend.

attempting the upgrade, perhaps it could be updated to account for
additional flashplugin-nonfree requirements?

I am having the same problem.
Was working fine, but after using my Sony Ericsson K750i to connect to the Web
a few times, no USB device gets mounted. The cell-phone seemed to have a bad
