Got the same problem on my Acer Extensa 3000 WLMi here, since I upgraded to
intrepid.
The system gets stuck while rebooting/shutting down, displaying 'acpid exiting'.

pidgin-plugin-pack package from source, the switchspell plugin is not built
because the gtkspell and aspell header files are not in the build dependencies

I think I am just about ready to give up on Intrepid for now and re-
install Hardy on my Laptop. Even with every update, proposed update and
backport installed neither the Intel 4965 AGN Wireless or the Realtek
AC883 sounds works. They worked fine under Hardy. The Laptop hangs every
time it boots.

And you have pokerth-data installed? (It should have been installed as a

I believe nspluginwrapper would actually keep the firefox window running
even if the flash plugin crashes.. but I'm using the native 64-bit flash
plugin as well, we'll see how it goes :)

I can confirm this bug, using VMware Fusion 2.0.1 on a MacBook Pro (Late
2008). I have installed and completely updated (including backports +
proposed) Ubuntu 8.10 32-bit and it hangs up when trying to reboot.

i am working from a 8Gb sdhd card in an adapter, but I booted from a
starter CD because my system does not support boot from USB
