ubuntu 8.10 gnome 2.24.1. /kernel 2.6.27-8-generic (#1 SMP Thu Nov 6 17:33:54 UTC 2008) when i select a word or phrase in an open browser file a menu bar with several weblinks (google, yahoo, etc) appears and the entire system simply hungs and i'm unable to remove or exit from the menu bar or the current window/ webpage. it becomes impossible to navigate to other windows or other applications. in this case i've had to reset the computer to be able to get back to work. is this a bug in firefox?
