mounting through smbfs in /etc/fstab, it all workes fine. This can

eeePC. I am not sure what is causing this, but when the gamepad is used,
if fullscreen mode is activated, the mouse cursor stays in the middle of

Are you sure that you are not running by chance Compiz? I have never
seen the problem of missing window decorations in KWin but it is a
problem I know from Compiz. At least my experience is that if KWin does
not show the decorations then KWin crashed and you are not able to
change focus, etc. With

The problem still exists within Ubuntu 8.04.1, but the workaround using
ndiswrapper works fine. In Ubuntu 8.10 the problem is gone. So, for me
it isn't an issue anymore.

release CD-ROM obtained from LinuxCD.org. Since the only Internet
connection I have in my rather rural location is dial-up, the KPPP

The latest version of Pidgin still doesn't fetch the buddy icons behind a Squid
proxy server.

This Workaround does not work as aspected i tried options cfg80211
ieee80211_regdom=EU
and also options cfg80211 ieee80211_regdom=JP
i can find now non us channel but can´t join them
dmesg says:

I noticed that by changing in Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex System/Preferences/Sound the
other sounds play fine while using Ubuntu sound profile.
When changing the mail alert sound file (wav) and thus changing the
sound profile to Custom the other sounds were also gone.
