Public bug reported:
In Hardy you got asked if you wanted to keep new settings. So if all
displays went black, you could hit escape and get back. This was very
useful with the buggy xrandr, cause my displays often get black, and now
killing x is the only solution

When moving the mouse cursor over the top window decoration panel of a
window in focus, sometimes the decoration gets damaged. Please see the
attached screenshots. Also note that this bug is regarding the
decoration only. The focus is not changed and has no problem.

OK, one issue was that Privoxy when installed is NOT configured to use
TOR.
After I followed install instructions for Privoxy as explained here:
http://www.torproject.org/docs/tor-doc-unix.html.en
I can use TOR but ONLY if I enable Privoxy manually by configuring
Firefox proxy settings (as shown

It depends how conservative we want to be I guess. All of the fixes
between Hardy and Intrepid are bug/buildfixes so there should be no new
regressions introduced, but this is the only fix we really want.
Subscribing motu-sru for an opinion.
As for darcs, a simple grepping of the source shows that
I have confirmed in my own testing using Hardy that this bug still
exists. Konqueror offers to keep a certificate exception forever, but
saves it in ksslpolicies for only one hour.
You can even edit the exception in "Cryptography Configuration" -> "Peer
SSL Certificates" tab, and change it to "Fo
well it appears I got too excited.
The option NvAGP "1" actually is equivalent to NvAGP "0"
unless you blacklist agpgart and nvidia_agp and the setting agp=off is passed
to the kernel..
if you set 1 then it uses 0 if agpgart is loaded

This seems to be working for me in a virtual machine, so I think it's a
hardware-specific problem rather than an installer problem. Does the
live CD start up if you select "Try Kubuntu"? If so, what happens if you
click on the "Install" icon on the desktop?
