I also notice hard hangs on boots from time to time with earlier

I don't want to suggest it as any kind of "official" fix, but I *DO*
produce Mono backports for Hardy on my PPA - I'd be curious if someone
still experiencing problems still finds they experience problems with
Mono 1.9.1 from there. If not, then given the packages are sourced from
the current Ubunt

Running the 2.6.25-5 kernel video capture is fine. With the
2.6.27-3-server, when I attempt to launch webcam, I get Device does not

Particularly, this occurs using gyachi, installed via synaptic package
manager. It is the only webcam application I use, and still works fine

I use Ubuntu Intrepid and when I set the brightness with Fn+Up or
Fn+Down the progress bar goes all the way up (or down) as if the keys
were stuck then. The brightness changes as desired but I can no longer
input any text from the keyboard or clicks from the mouse/touchpad.

Please be assured that the package works just fine for me without any of
the stuff he proposes. I get the feeling his error might be "self-
inflicted", possibly by incorrectly mixing package versions.
