I just downloaded the Live CD of alpha 5 and tested it. At first, I got
the same problem as Jaime Pereira - it wouldn't boot. But I rebooted and
tried again, and this time I got the login window.
Network Manager came up with a long list of wireless networks, one of
them being my own. I selected th
ok, I made the .deb myself, maybe someone could check (www.jkiwi.com)
and see if this is the right way to do it.

I just want to confirm that my trackpoint middle-button y+x scrolling

delete all covers from my Musicfolder, about 120 Files, all Named
"folder.jpg". Error message was the same. As I figured out, the error
occured after deleting 32 Files.

I was able to get Alpha 5 working in Virtualbox 2.0. I used the
alternate installer instead of the desktop CD. Of course, I used the
noreplace-paravirt kernel option. After installing, I tried booting with
noreplace-paravirt. It booted, but X wouldn't respond to my keyboard or

This is happening for me as well in Hardy Heron 8.04. Can't really
explain it... The Login Wndow menu opens, then disappears, and
"Starting ..." stays in the taskbar a few more seconds and then
disappears.

I have a Pantech with Verizon service. It is fully recognized at
/dev/ttyACM0.
NM demands a username although it is not used. (stupidmode=on for
wvdial)
