I just downloaded the Live CD of alpha 5 and tested it. At first, I got the same problem as Jaime Pereira - it wouldn't boot. But I rebooted and tried again, and this time I got the login window.
Network Manager came up with a long list of wireless networks, one of them being my own. I selected this one, put in the passphrase and connected! YES, it worked!
