Have tried to debug this further. I've tried a lot of Linux-

On the installed Intrepid I switched off splash option immediately after
install (few days back), because I could not get xsession running.
Without splash option system booted and worked like a charm.
Now, I've put back a splash option and I can not reproduce the behavior

I am facing the same problem. The pages are totally messed up. I am
using Gnome. I have the latest version of FireFox 3.0.1 and the latest
kernel *19 on Ubuntu Hardy Heron. I have compiz installed.
