The sound has gotten louder on my laptop, and I think that changes in the alsa
package relative to hda-intel soundcards are to be thanked.
Having said that, the sound is still very much sub-par. I have to turn my
volume on "Master" and "Front" all the way to 100 to be able to hear and
understan

can be disabled only for Kickoff. Currently if we changed the defaults
to turn the dialog off, we'd break the Application Launcher Menu.

This only shows up on on login screen. I dont know how to take a
screen shot there. I am running a nec monitor mulisync E 700. When I
install 8.04 it sets up the nec monitor, but this prpoblem occures
then. If I do a restore boot and fix x it sets up generic plug and play

Hi Jamie,
thanks for the hint. Same here. Adept had all Checkboxes checked --
however, the Sources were missing. Must have happened during the Update
from 7.10 to 8.04?
Just was able to reinstall libxine1-ffmpeg. Will you close the ticket,

well I'm using 8.04 now its working much better but not perfect, sometimes
it freeses but only for max 1 minut, sometimet i have to reset becouse
afther logging in the screen is black, sometimes when my laptop is on but I
havent used it for a few houers the screen is black and can not be turend on
