Unfortunately, malicious users can do some really nasty things to a
system if non-privileged users are allowed to arbitrarily choose the
mount point.
I would gladly review and endorse patches, if anyone has a workable,

I have just conducted the following tests in response to the question
from Michael Nagel.
1) I am presently running Ubuntu 8.04 x86-64.
2) I downloaded jeos-8.04.1-jeos-i386.iso and ubuntu-8.04.1-server-i386.iso on

Thanks vivia. Another aMSN developer in #amsn told me that 0.95 also has MSNP11
but disabled by default, so I kept both MSNP9 and MSNP11, and it works! :)

About this bug, I got hit too, it seems that for kernels 2.6.24.19 and
2.6.24.20, the snd-hda-intel module fails to load (unknown symbol errors
on snd-hda-codec and snd-hda-intel appear in dmesg - I can get the logs
if needed
I can confirm this. I was having the same issue and now I know what is
going on. You are having problems because the ubuntustudio-
controls.desktop file isn't properly localized. As a work around you
could edit it. Try sudo gedit /usr/share/applications/ubuntustudio-
controls.desktop and add a name
Can someone tell me why hasn't this been released as a Hardy package
yet?

okay, ive run the command mentioned (su username) and i get " unknown
id: user name " im no expert but this says to me that the user doesnt

Guys I might delude a few of you but I have solved my problem !!!
Nothing very technical : it was the wi-fi alarm system in the house :
now if I go off site from the sensors I get connected immediately and
the if I come inside even in rooms where the detectors are working, the
