I'm having the problem as reported by Ian Ohr. To be more precise, here
is what happen when I try to resume from suspend:
1. The mouse is extremely unresponsive
2. Keyboard works fine, however so I can still press the power button to bring
up the shutdown menu then followed by Alt-R to Restart.
the bug has been reopened as we believe it is not a duplicate currently.
it has been marked private as it contains some not-for-general-public
information. i'll post the output of this command there. if i can add

Yep, doesn't matter what application I'm using it stops playing. Those
changes do a little difference, but it's not a complete fix.

@Michael: yes I could reproduce it and it caused two bug reports to be created.
IIRC the above quoted python exception is the part where update-manager crashed.

Matt - In Hardy the folder isn't shipped with any package as such. The
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-xx-generic postinst script calls /sbin
/lrm-manager, which creates the folder on install.
This doesn't appear to be the case in the postinst script for linux-
restricted-modules-2.6.26-5-generic
