Intrepid kernel, it sounds promising to have resolved the issue. I
agree that it would be great to isolate the patch which could be
backported to Hardy. How comfortable would you be performing a git
bisect to try and narrow
Definitely this seems to be a ugly hack. mainly because the problem also happen
when the page is still opened.
For example, i use IE to use a stock broker, and in less than 10 minutes,
wineserver is hogging all the CPU. :-(

this is weird... lets try one bypass before we actually look into it:
on a terminal:
0. quit Evolution
1. tar -cvf savedmail.tar ~/.evolution/mail/local
2. cd ~/.evolution/mail/local
3. rm *.ev-summary
4. restart Evolution -- check if *all* emails are now shown
This will tell us if the summaries

2.6.24 provides port randomization, so it not affected. Once I get a
TID randomizing python-dns for Hardy/Intrepid, those releases will have
mitigation in place. Still need to check for port randomizatioin in
Feisty/Gutsy.
