I have just install Ubuntu 8.04 on Acer Travelmate 6292 and experiences the

I just installed the "LittleFox" theme and the annoying 1px scrollbar
padding is gone. The problem is in Firefox's default theme. This could
be a dead simple CSS change for someone familiar with the chrome.
Another work-around seems to be to unset the environment variable
XAUTHORITY when upgrading or restarting atieventsd.
As in "XAUTHORITY= aptitude dist-upgrade".

Ubuntu 8.04. The timestamp generated by printk() is meant to be seconds
since booting, as I understand it. On this AMD64 machine, it's running
at roughly 1,600 "seconds" and hour instead of 3,600. This is
consistent despite rebooting. dmesg output, attached, includes
