Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 8.04. The timestamp generated by printk() is meant to be seconds
since booting, as I understand it. On this AMD64 machine, it's running
at roughly 1,600 "seconds" and hour instead of 3,600. This is
consistent despite rebooting. dmesg output, attached, includes

Time: acpi_pm clocksource has been installed.
Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = -124021458 ns)

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
