The reason for configure_ignore_gdlib-config_garbage.diff is indeed to
not have those dependencies in amule, as Kry said. They will of course
be in amule's dependencies, so they will still be installed by those
libraries, but they won't be in amule's Depends, making transitions and
stuff like that

I experienced the same problem with gnome-settings-daemon using Xvnc
(vnc4server 4.1.1+xorg1.0) with Ubuntu 8.04 desktop (all updates as at
15 June 2008). I found that disabling just the keyboard plug-in for
gnome-settings-daemon, and logging in again, gave immediate relief.

It started a couple of weeks ago. I think it was on some updating
process. The problem is that when I start to work, there are no problems
at all. But for some reason that I can't identify, the terminal window
don't finish to launch, the same thing happens with text editor and

I know this is frustrating. Nobody here can directly affect the
situation, because adobe won't release the source code to flash so we
could just fix it ourselves. Consequently it seems like there's about 3
avenues worth persuing:

I now tried with the official Flash 9 packages and then the patched
libflashsupport.so provided by PulseAudio. It still crashes but again is
happening far less frequently than before - now after roughly 10 page
refreshes rather than 3.

kmilo (although kmilo is going to be removed in 4.1, so I don't know
what we should do to fix this issue).

OK I eat my words. I'd refreshed a youtube page with flash and audio
content numerous times and it hadn't crashed. And now it just did.

I'm having this issue with Xubuntu 8.04. No matter how I install it
there is no /grub directory in /boot on the hard disk. So I get error
15 because the files truly don't exist. From what I understand there's
no automated utility to create what should be in the /boot directory at
all. I have 6

I second this feature request. In general I think it's silly that
Alt+F2 is default binding for "run application" but there's no default
binding for "run a terminal". Considering we do so much in the terminal
I think we all create our own binding for it, but there should be a
standard, default ke

Just noticed that I still have stuff from GIT lying around, so it seems
the following instructions may actually fix the problem:
1. Uninstall flashplugin-nonfree and libflashsupport (sudo apt-get
remove)
