Man, I was just about to use it for home work, quite a disappointment
that it does such false advertizement by getting called gnuplot, I think

I would add that I cannot upgrade and I missed Synaptic.
Furthermore, Ubuntu hardy new kernel has seemingly destroyed my mic settings (I
cannot use Skype any longer).
Long life to Mr. Windows?!?

I have attempted to use 2.6.24-19 from this thread and from hardy-
upstream. Neither solves this issue for me. What information can I

The answer Danny Kukawka at the freedesktop tracker gave:
"1) you can't run the HAL scripts manually, they are supposed to be called by
HAL only
2) proc isn't supported by HAL anymore, at least not the interfaces from the
generic video module
3) where is the output of lshal? Which desktop environ
The new upstream version in Intrepid fixes this bug.
