I think I suffer from the same bug:

I tried to export an impress presentation to XHTML, and got the same error. 
When checking the Java Options dialog box I saw that "Use a java runtime 
environment" is checked, but none of the JREs installed is checked. If I check 
one of them and click ok, returning back to the dialog box returns to the 
previous state.
When I try the export to XHTML, the following error is printed to the console:
> [Java framework]sunjavaplugin.so could not load Java runtime library: 
> file:///usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.03/jre/lib/amd64/server/libjvm.so

Even though I have sun's 1.6.0.06 version installed, and not 1.6.0.03.

I'm using Hardy on amd64.
