new kernel you just installed.
Failing that perhaps try a newer version of the alsa sound drivers. I had to

Okay. HA! I've been running the live CD trying to figure out what
conditions made Hardy (8.04) freeze. This won't give you the log - it
FREEZES, then the log disappears on reboot. I'll reinstall Hardy and do

Hi there,
same problem here on a Powerbook G4 ppc Hardy machine:
"mol-drivers-macsox: depends on mol but won't be installed"
Please people, do something about it - i do need mol so desperately to
skype with my girlfriend in china, because no ppc version of it is out
there.

I forgot to tell you, that I have Kubuntu Hardy (8.4) and OpenOfficeorg 2.4.
I think that I don't have those problems with K-office, but I don't want to
install two offices.
I made a try by copying and pasting a text from www.liberation.fr without
problems.

Hello.
I have Intel 20'inch iMac with build-in iSight webcam, running Ubuntu
8.04 with all updates and default boot (kernel) params.
Webcam work fine only firts minute, and then the picture freezes. If i use

I have experienced this behavior on two systems running Hardy, but am
unsure of the trigger at present. It might have something to do with the
display being suspended (possibly though other means - on one of the
systems I have win+F9 rigged to run 'xset dpms force suspend' and
noticed the screen tu

Ubuntu/Bluetooth/Linux is trying to use an bad IRQ for pairing? Is there anyway
to set which IRQ pairing will use?
