Hello! I'm experiencing almost exactly the same problem as Alan and
Patrick with my RAID controller (Promise Fasttrak TX2300). In Ubuntu
7.10, this worked fine, however since the upgrade to Ubuntu 8.04
(2.6.24-16 kernel), the "dmraid" is not able to find the
"/dev/mapper/pdc_*" devices. As mentione

with mount definitions taken from NIS. I have to manually /etc/init.d/autofs
restart after each boot.

That patch applies to openssl as shipped in Hardy, but doesn't appear to
have any effect. After patching openssl, rebuilding the packages and
installing them, `openssl engine padlock' reports:

on my C3 thin clients. That should get me at least accelerated aes-1

if it can help:
After editing the "When the command exits: Hold the terminal open"
you can run this command from an existing gnome-terminal to reproduce the
problem:
gnome-terminal -e "ls -altr" (I get the the blinking cursor and no prompt)
if you type
gnome-terminal

Did you try a update from the hardy CD with 6.06 kubuntu? Unfortuantely
this is not supported. As a workaround you can install "update-manager"
from dapper-updates and re-run the command. This will perform the
upgrade with the gtk version of the upgrader.

I have a Shuttle SN26P with the same sound chip and the same problem.
There are probably a lot more Shuttles with this same sound chip. I hope
it gets fixed one year since the patch seems to be hanging around for a
long time already and I don't want to start patching and compiling
kernels in a supp
