locale. hopefully for system work this doesn't matter, but software may
fail to do things right at some point, which should anyway be farther

I've had the exact same problem. STR will corrupt the super block off of
the bootable linux partition, and the other drives just wind up
corrupted. So /dev/sd[boot] winds up having to be reformatted (because
everything is in /lost+found), but everything is okay after the journal

The timeout change is only fixing a symptom. If you wanna disable the
timeout you can have a one-line patch that does so. The real fix for

So I think I found people with a similar problem finally.
I have this symptoms: everything works ok until the computer goes to a long
idle time: usually the overnight break.
When I am back in the morning the keyboard won't work anymore and I am forced
to restart (I can still use the mouse).

I believe git-diff just uses the program specified by $PAGER (and
defaults to "less"). Is your $PAGER set to 'most'? (I don't have 'most',
and Hardy's git-diff works for me.)

Mount has an ext3 specific option, 'noload':

I have the same problem for Hardy 8.04 using either rdesktop(0.23) or
tsclient(.150) connecting to Windows Server 2003. It's not random, like
others might think. Sticky shift is only active when Caps Lock is on and
you type in rapid succession. Typing one key at a time won't make it

I've done some more testing, reordering the startup order and stuff, but
it seems the only thing that fixes the issue is restarting acpid after
booting up. I am a complete newbie where ACPI, hald and dbus are
concerned, so any help with this that I can get would be very welcome.
