Hi again Adrian, Finally I think that doesn't matter where we are doing at the pc for this problem: last day, my computer freezed a few . So, I think that it's absolutely randomly.
Probably that you say is the most sure option that we have for the moment. I have the latest NVIDIA driver from hardy repositories. While the time I was using Feisty Fawn, i used the driver on Feisty Fawn repositories. But i have something to say in that: i think mostly the problem is the kernel, because if only is the nvidia driver, my computer won't freeze COMPLETELY. For example: the fan never shutdown itself in this state, the lights remain all the time in the state before the oops... And i had problems with the gutsy kernel before, so i think that it can be a problem of the older kernel release not solved at all. Probably is a compatibility problem with the nvidia card. Also, can you see if we have more hardware in common? Like wifi cards or this stuff? Something more to say: i have the same problem in the x86 version of hardy and in tha amd_64 version too. And yes, I have too the bug BIOS BUG #81 error in startup :-) -- Hardy hangs while using the pc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/225484 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
