I commented out my fixes in /etc/init.d/networking, and I removed
/var/run/network/ifstate, but upon reboot, networking did not start.
ifconfig attached.

I just booted with the 2.6.24-17 kernel, and there's no audio at all. In
fact, there's no /proc/asound, so i can't even list the contents of

i use firefox and sometimes (i dont know when and why) firefox crahses:
it stops to work and i cant clos it the normal way then i forced it to

I have this problem with sony vgn-n11s kernel 2.6.24-17-generic and dualboot
with Win-XP.
When the problem occurs I push power button to stop the laptop.
Then I boot into Win-XP and let win do a disk check-and repair on C: drive.
Win does the check next time it boots up.
After Win did the C: dri

monitor with an integrated USB hub. If both are connected when booting
the current kernel (2.6.24-16-generic) then I get an crash screen (see
