Does this mean that other SDL games/apps needs to do a similar change to make

Besides, I think they only release security fixes and other show stopper
fixes until their next maintenance release (8.04.1). Since there is a
workaround and audio really isn't a huge concern anyways (for servers),
they don't see this as a show stopper.

I've found `strace /tmp/foo.frozen' is a good means of debugging. Here,
I find one of the first things foo.frozen attempts, regardless of what
program was frozen, is

diff.gz is not a form i can really use. can you either push a bzr branch
or provide just a minimal patch for the debian/patches/ directory?

on session startup the italc client also starts the vnc part for no
apparent reason. this eats a lot of ram for idling, ica client should
rather start the vnc part dynamically on connect so ram is only used
when its actually needed.

Thanks for pointing out this. It seems that this is the same issue; in
particular, uninstalling tracker and killing all running instances of
trackerd fixes the problem.
