I think I have finally managed to find out where the problem is. I ran gksudo
displayconfig-gtk and changed driver from i810 to choose driver by model and
selected 845. It is put at 945.
When I changed that I clicked ctrl+alt+backspace and it tried to log back in
and it had some configuration pr

"dpkg-reconfigure dash" (choosing "no") and /bin/sh being linked to
bash.
Problem seemed to be preinst/postinst scripts which failed when ran with

The fix consisting in putting "options forcedeth msi=0 msix=0" in in the

Hi Jan,
I got exactly the same problem. At first I thought it must be an issue
with the pulseaudio output plugin in hardy but it was not. What fixed my
problem was to disable the "bypass all signal processing ..." in the
audio preferences. now audacious advances to the next song without a
hitch.
vfat doesn't have an uni_xlate option, ntfs does.

Dominique, did you restart gnome (i.e. log out from the graphic shell and back
in) after installing the package "really the update"? I did so and now it works
fine for me.

Adding a keyboard layout seems to fix it as well as changing the layout.
(ie just add and remove a random keyboard layout to fix it).
I find that often when the modifiers are lost, some applications (gedit,
gnome-keyboard-properties are two examples) will segfault when you try
to type a key.

Started happening few hours ago. Deleting places.sqlite seems to stop
this behaviour. Just to check if it's not extensions-related bug, it
would be good if you could post extensions you are using. I'm using:new
Delicious Bookmarks, Personas, ubufox and Weave.
