Ok, after a bit of a nightmare I recovered and it seems that it's the
combination of Evolution update + library updates that brakes the Evolution and
makes it to lose contact to backend process in a few minutes. The following set
of files from Hardy Updates seems to work for me:

I can confirm that the reply_header_locale preference setting seems
ignored on our Thunderbird. I use a French (fr-FR) locale and tried
setting it to en-US, en, en-GB... without any effect. Changing other

I have installed package network-manager-vpnc and when i try to connect
thru vpn it asks me for "Password" and "Group Password".
If i don't put anything in "Group Password", meaning leaving that field empty
then the networkmanager crashes.

After installing Hardy Heron I sometimes doesn't get my nice desktop loaded,
only the bars and mouse pointer.
My desktop is just that light brown background colour and black if I try to
enable the visual desktop effects.
Hardware:
Desktop computer
Asus Motherboard
Intel dual core 3.4 Ghz
nvidia
Having similar issues, but using proprietary nvidia drivers. Ref

I confirm this, gshutdown "log out" my computer instead of turning it
off, the program is only working when I'm real lucky. Can't figure out
why it does work one time, and does not the other.

After performing a packet capture, I realized that I am sending "Zero Window"
and "Zero Window Probe" packets, meaning (probably) that my Lenovo T61
(Dual-Core with 3GB of RAM) is "slower" in processing the packets than a simple
Telnet session with a Network Switch.

uses the vesa driver which is of course known to switch successfully
between X and VT.
