We have two Gutsy servers that experience high memory usage after a few
weeks.
Checking with top and ps shows snmpd grows to a few hundred MB of
memory.

I can confirm the same behaviour. Running Hardy (updated as of 5 May) on
a Dell Latitude D620.
When the undock button is pressed the system frozes and keeps
unresponsive even to SysRq combinations.
After rebooting the following is registered at /var/log/messages:

I can use it on my Hardy system.
But I use a clean install, which enables scim-bridge as default IM module.
If you still can't use it with scim-bridge enabled, please post a URL,
so that I can try it by myself.

same problem on hardy, T60. Network Monitor Applet displays 85% while
the nm-applet reports 57%.

I think the problem is that "CONFIG_X86_TSC" is not set in the kernel
configuration. If it were, the idle functions in
drivers/apci/processor_idle.c would mark the TSC as unstable, preventing
this bug.

Notice: this seems to be the same problem as described #217787, whereas
the later contains a patch which worked for me (I can add printers and
print test pages now, Hardy release/I386).
Steps to solve problem:
1.) download
http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/a/apparmor/apparmor_2.1+1075
Not all games run in wine, this is not an ubuntu problem just a lack of
wine functionality.
Any game requiring more than VESA graphics will probably not run (at
this moment).
You can file a "bug"/feature request upstream with wine at :
http://www.winehq.org/

same happened to me upgrading from Gutsy to Hardy,
rebooting led me to a machine on which was impossible to issue sudo.
I had to reboot in root by the maintenance mode, then dpkg --configure -a
apt-get -f install, and i was back with the working system.
However i had to manually remove the packa
