I think this is not bug but a GNOME feature. Other buttons in GNOME have
similar behaviour, it could be a protection agains unwanted double

I experience the same problem on my ibm/lenovo X60 with ubuntu 7.10 ever since
I did the upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10.
Something" slows down or even interrupts the startup process of the X at the
time when the splash shows "gnome-volume-manager". Im note sure if the reason

It would be very nice to get this fixed. mythfrontend crashes several
times a day for me. Sometimes it crashes 3 times in a row just trying to
start. It also tends to crash when I am done watching a video. You can
see one of my stack traces as a duplicate of this bug.
Is anyone upstream at AMD/ATI

For some reason, /etc/rc2.d/S30gdm was missing on my system. However,
when running update-rc.d, this is what I got:

System startup links for /etc/init.d/gdm already exist.

passwords, but not consistently. I've now experienced it on two separate
machines. I have other odd symptoms. I can't right click create a
directory on a user's gnome desktop. I get the
