Same situtation as with Malicious Monkey. Under Hardy Beta the internal
card reader on my e1405 works on the first insert of an SD card. But
will only recognize the card again If I manually mount or reboot the
laptop. The automount feature worked correctly in Gutsy.

Apologies, I have been ill and missed the email.
At the time I reported the bug I had upgraded from Gutsy and had at no
time tweaked any sound settings. Realplayer worked fine in gutsy - I do
not recall ever having FF2 in Hardy.
Since then I have reinstalled Hardy and still have the same problem.

ppds package does not put these files in a place where the Printing

Synaptic installed several updates this morning after I posted this bug.
The updates seem to have resolved the problem as Amarok is now able to
manage the device. Thanks to the Ubuntu developers for fixing this.

I've done apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade and i've the same error (i
think) before... I don't remember very well, i think it bugs with
"libK2...?" It tell me that there are some "pack breaking". (paquets

I've noticed this as well, with compiz turned on (the default if available).
I mostly use nvidia, so I'm not sure if it's related to the driver or not
I have seen this using a [GeForce 7600 GS] and 'nvidia' from nvidia-
glx-new, on an i386 gutsy system

Thank you Lydia for your answer, that was more or less the problem I was
reporting.
I don't know if it is the intended behaviour, but to me it seems very
uncomfortable to set the message every time I change my status.
