I've started experiencing the same recently; I have a machine that's
always-on, and freezes in the same manner (with lit HD light), usually
after between 2-5 days uptime. The inode errors are then fixed (either
on bootup or manually via a bootable Ubuntu SD card) and the process
repeats.

In ubuntu desktop i386 8.04 beta the graphics with flightgear flight
simulator and an Intel i965 based motherboard is scrambled. The
simulator starts and shows reasonable graphics, but when moving, large
triangles get created in the display window.

some stale values in the processor, which is a corner case of x86 which

I too couldn't get the 0.1.4. version to run on my system but there's a
new(er) ultrastar-ng version, 0.2.1, that compiles fine on my gutsy
amd64 system. Tried to make a .deb but failed (first time trying). Maybe
someone with more experience in building debian packages could do it?
