Andrew, Can you please elaborate on your problem? Is this using an alternate CD or a desktop CD? Does the install actually fail or do you see this error message only briefly before the install continues? What is the full text of the error and where do you see it?
If the install is failing (and you're using the desktop CD), please attach the /var/log/syslog file from the install environment after it fails. http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs explains how to do this in more detail.
