the problem is really simple, but since ubuntu and kubuntu shares base
packages, it may not be the best idea to have kubuntu do it's own thing with
/etc/fstab.

I have the same problem on lg-s1 laptop with intel 3945 wireless. Linux
When I boot 2.6.22 kernel, wireless is working. In network manager->manual
configuration I see eth0 as "Wireless Connection" and eth1 as "Wired
Connection".
When I boot 2.6.24 kernel, no networks are visible. In network manag
my wireless with this card stopped this morning. I can see networks in
nm-applet but when it goes to connect it spins forever. Wired
connections work fine.

For me the opposite has happened;
Before I was getting a laggy Gnome brightness indicator but no

I have the same problem and have tried the workaround. It didn't work. I
have an Intersil Prism2.5 card with updated firmware that supports WPA.
It was working fine until yesterday after some updates. I am trying to
find a list of what was updated yesterday, then I can find what caused
the problem
I changed it to output to :
Out /home/${USER}/Desktop
Either way, no output.

I've often run across the object misplacement as you pointed out in
Screenshot-1.png, this is often caused by web designers not taking into
consideration the width of characters on different systems in their
designs.
If you continue to find fonts that are too small, try using the minimum
font size
edit: I retryed to get the wired connection to work instead of the
wireless as I described above by killing nm-applet and NetworkManager
but it did not work again. I fideld around a long time and then gave up
(NetworkManager does not work, the gui is slow/hangs, ifconfig does not
work either...).

Those updates are applied on my machine and didn't help. I'm running an
XPS1330 with a stupid Broadcom wireless card. Anyways, if go into
Network under Administration and manually configure my wireless instead
of leaving it on roaming it connects and doesn't peg out my CPU. At

the Broadcom B43 Wireless Driver(1:011-1). It downloaded b43-fwcutter
but would not let enable the driver after rebooting. I then manually
uninstalled the fwcutter drive
