I have exactly the same problem it seams that most of the time it works
if no other user profiles are logged in, if more than 1 user is already
active and 1 trying to logout hangs 100%.

I've got the same problem here on a HP6710s notebook. It suddenly stopped
working. Now I tried upgrading to hardy but didn't work. Interestingly it gets
detected with tpconfig:

Does /etc/fonts/conf.d/53-monospace-lcd.-filter.conf exist on your
machine? This is the code that is supposed to enable the legacy LCD
filter for small monospace fonts; for the standard Ubuntu monospace

I can confirm - I have been using Hardy for quite some time now. It
works now with memory remapping enabled, which means I can now use the
whole 4 GB of ram available.

I have just changed my screen res from 1280 x 800 to 1280 x 768 and my

I do really think this is a BUG. USB shouldn't disconnect/reconnect
devices when they are used. Same issues are reported for kernels berore
(not using this usb-dvb stick but other hardware. See for example

to detach the menu, i use the doted line at the top of the menu
