On my ibook G4, so PPC machine - powernowd init script doesn't start powernowd.
Now cpufreq doesn't work with ondemand on these machines, and I found out the
problem in init script is exactly with the on_demand() function. It should be
noted that when switching to ondemand

Same here in kubuntu hardy alpha 6. I've tried downgrading language-selector as
described in bug 199557, and dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig-config and
I am not sure if it helped or not. But what I currently have is on screenshot.
The font that is on the left is Dejavu Sans Mono, the other one is Dej

probably related to your keyboard selection since I have not seen the
bug before and if I remember correctly I have grepped for 'skift' in the
translations files before and didn't see it there either.

I tried this again now and it appears to work fine.
That is, I have middlemouse.paste at the default value of "yes", and it
now only pastes inside text areas, as it should. I do have ubufox
installed, perhaps that did the trick?

Oh, I am sorry, upstream means the official Sun OpenOffice.org. ooo-
build is a set patches that go-oo.org makes to the official Sun version.
Even once OpenOffice 3.0 is released it may not have full support for
docx, as it still has problems with older versions of Microsoft formats

This is definitely an upstream issue, I tried using the official Linux
2.4.0~rc2 and it has the same issue as the Ubuntu version so it probably
won't be fixed in time for Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy). Hopefully they will get
it fixed in time for 3.0

After looking at the debug sofar, my conclusion is that this is a
problem not in the kernel driver sony-laptop, but at a higher level

Yes, it still occurs in 2.4.0rc2 for XP. I haven't successfully
installed it on my Ubuntu laptop yet.

I am still confused as I don't think I am seeing the problem other
