I had a similar problem: I could switch from US to ES keyboard, but not
the other way around with Alt+Alt. The reason is that there is no right

Upstream has closed the original bug report because it was started for i810
driver. We could create a new one but I guess that Axel Pospischil experiences
the same bug with i830 and I don't own the laptop with 845 so I can't get the
information for a separate bug report.

I tried a new install of Hardy Alpha 5 just to test this. The error

something out of this. You can maybe try to narrow down what's looping
by standing in the right "frame" and going "next" repetitively. If
you're a frame too high, "next" will not return when it hits the loop.

In addition to the fix mentioned above, I also had to comment out line 162 in
/var/lib/dpkg/info/pkgsel.postinst (the call to tasksel) to get the

and setting Firefox as the browser in the "Browser" preferences. As Alok

I can confirm that beam/wings freezes for around 3-4 seconds each 10-20
seconds on ubuntu 7.10 amd64
During the freeze beam uses ~100% of CPU (single thread, so 50% of cpus
on dual core).
