With a powerbook g4 I've had the same problem for the last several
kernels and is still a problem with 2.6.24-7-powerpc.
I've discovered that the powerpc-smp image does not have the problem,
audio plays fine. I have been using vmlinux-2.6.22-14-powerpc-smp with
no audio problems.

A workaround could be to mount floppy first right-clicking and
selecting mount, and then double click on mounted floppy.
I agree with you about this bug, but this workaround is the best I
found out until now. (not so good anyway)

I think it would be a better idea to have the panel "on the same level"
as the windows so that windows aren't covered by the panel shadow. OSX

Great now it works, my xorg.conf still says
Option "XkbLayout" "us"
but the keyboard layout is German.
what I did:
- updated Hardy to the current version
- sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
- reboot
- changed the US layout to German in the keyboard control
- reboot

Yes of course it asks for the way to go to the Internet but for example
in my/our case we have about 30 machines running in office and we all
are using our apt-proxy it runs quite good,
but if we have to set up a machine we have to download some pages from
the net but they would be on our proxy...

Well, I don't think, it's mplayer's fault. In some cases other OpenGL
applications crash, too. The problem lies either with compiz or with the
ATI graphics driver and AMD has recently fixed some bugs in their
software.

For me on this Fujitsu Lifebook P1610, it's not the sound that's an
issue. That works. It's the Wacom tablet. I found that I can load the
wacom driver, but there's no recognition in the kernel for the PnP
object. It comes up as FUJ02e6. A quick google on that ID, and it
appears that the id is

realized the issue only arose when the pc was being charged / linked to
the wall socket. the noapic nolapic pci=noacpi acpi=off boot sequence
seems to be working, even though I get a warning at start - guess one of
