Well, I don't think, it's mplayer's fault. In some cases other OpenGL
applications crash, too. The problem lies either with compiz or with the
ATI graphics driver and AMD has recently fixed some bugs in their
software.

Anyway, here is my lcpci -vvnn output. Because I deactivated compiz
months ago, there is no useful output in .xsession-errors. But I can
reactivate compiz and post again later.
