I have my music stored on a usb drive (WD MyBook) and use Amarok to manage my
music in Gnome. This all works fine until I quit Amarok, which causes my usb

When installing b43-fwcutter a script is running that tries to download and
install firmware.
(start debugging at /var/lib/dpkg/info/b43-fwcutter.postinst)
I (re-)installed the firmware but the problem is still the same.

Setting the debug mode would just print more information when the driver
executes certain functions. This might be not the case after failure.
The problem is that the drive itself seems to report the inability to

On a machine upgraded from gutsy to hardy I get this error:
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/find exited with return code 127
because the script is installed, but updatedb is not:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] sudo sh -x /etc/cron.daily/find
+ LOCALUSER=nobody
I'm just curious why this report is also targeted against the Hardy
kernel but there are no comments here regarding this being in issue with
Hardy. I'm marking this Invalid against the Hardy kernel for now until
we receive further information.
Also, I'm reassigning the Ubuntu Hardy kernel source
I have exactly the same problem with a plextor DVD Writer. Have you try
this ?

Just adding a note that I'm reassigning the Ubuntu Hardy kernel source
package from 'linux-source-2.6.24' to just 'linux'. Beginning with the
Hardy release the package naming convention changed from linux-
source-2.6.x to just linux. Sorry for any confusion.

[Edgy]Update to kernel
Got the same problem. My version of ngircd is 0.10.0-3 (like the first
post). It blocks all other installs/uninstalls.
# apt-get remove ngircd

I have standard usb mouse, it worked ok just a couple of hours ago in
gutsy. I did a fresh hardy install and right button doesn't work at all
now. Left button works very weird too.
My problems are quite same as Ari wrote. Touchpad in my laptop works
without problems.
