This issue doesn't just effect the favorites menu entries, it effects
all of the KDE4 entries. The path was changed to
"/usr/lib/kde4/bin/nameofexec" instead of programname-kde4. New
installations won't have this problem, but those upgrading may still
have "programname-kde4" in the menu entries

Just gave it a try. Removed the alsa-oss modules by hand. Flash still
freezes. For me it does not freeze when I play some sound in Skype for
example, but when I close the tap that contains the flash file I had
running while playing some sound in flash, then firefox freezes.

the disconnects. I no longer need to use wlassistant for certain
networks. TKIP and AES are both good on WPA networks. WEP is working

this as 'Fix Released' per Ben's comments that a patch was committed to

Which version of Ubuntu and openoffice are you running? If running
openoffice 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5 please upgrade to the version in gutsy-
updates which is 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3 and let me know if this fixes your
