A temporary fix would be to add asus_acpi to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist,
and force asus-laptop to be loaded (by adding it to /etc/modules).

After further research I discovered, that "Virtual" values bigger than
2048 cause this problem. As stated before only Hardy is affected, values
bigger than 2048 are working fine in Gutsy.

Really is a distribution bug, not a kernel bug.
If installation comes from live Cd everything is ok.
The problem arise only if alternate cd (32&64bit) is used.
I was forced to use the live cd and everything gone right.

Oh, sorry, I don't use KDE myself so I believed this would work.
What you should do is:
- start a terminal (konsole)
- type in "/usr/share/apport/apport-qt XXX", replacing XXX with the path to the
crash file (if you save it into your home folder, simply use the filename) and
removing the quotes;
To put it short, I've uploaded a patches package to out team's PPA
located under:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/clazzes.org/ubuntu gutsy main
Feel free to use it.
Additionally, hardy-alpha4 fixes this issue, so we have hope for the
