Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xkbset

I'm running an up-to-date Hardy on an original CD MacBook computer.
I'm using the default /etc/X11/xorg.conf made by the Alpha4 installer,
except that I changed the "pc105" keyboard spec to "macbook78".
The right mouse click by means of the two-finger touchpad tap does
not work (or is not activated out-of-the-box), which I don't mind as I
like to assign the right mouse click to the lower Enter-key.

After giving the appropriate "xmodmap -e "keycode 108 = Pointer_Button3"
command (which works) I also give the "xkbset m" command, after
which the X session crashes back to the login screen. Happens every
time since original installation of Hardy Alpha4.

** Affects: xkbset (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
