I check it and i found that if you don't have also the corresponding deb line,
it doesn't work.

I can now confirm that downgrading to version 2:2.2.0+git20080107 of the intel
driver (the only older version I had hanging around) solves the problem.

This is still an open issue on 7.10.
Don't know if it will be ever corrected, maybee it's a distrib choice
...
Anyway as a workaround we could recompile the kernel with the 64GO
option.
We have to do it each time there is a kernel update in ubutun, so we should
script this.

use case (last two comments).
It's still a valid problem in unionfs (and for gutsy) but aufs can be a
good alternative. Not sure how you want to handle this bug now, but I'll

Yes the problem persists in Alpha4. If I give the VM more than ~750MB of RAM
VPC doesn't error all the time but the kernel locks at the same point. I
suspect VPC is actually the difference when I swap the amount of memory as
it won't actually capture in Alt-PrintScreen so perhaps a read herring.
