Confirmed this bug under Hardy Heron alpha release. It appears that wink
was compiled/linked against an old libexpat version, prior to the ABI
change in expat.

Actually it's stopped doing this. I don't believe I've done anything
differently. It's gone from a problem happening every reboot to
happening every month etc. The next time it does happen I will move
the icons a few pixels away and test this

I completely agree, this is a massive bug, due to not knowing what's going
on when the system boots. When the machine needs to fsck, people are just
going to assume nothing is happening and cut off the power to the PC in the
middle of the check. That can be dangerous.

After i finish re-installing Ubuntu 7.10, the screen was not good. It was weird

Can someone from the Ubuntu Desktop Bugs make sure that this problem get

Even worse, in some cases like mine X doesnt even come up due this problem
(which i assume is a clash between the dodgy fb driver and the nv driver),
the only reason i ever got around it was that i knew enough to try a
