I've played with this a little more, and I've managed to find a
workaround and compile this package with drivers...
The short story:
My workaround was to change the first line of configure script to execute it
using bash instead of sh (which is actually dash).

According to bug #132399 fancyheadings.sty is no longer a part of the
tex distributed with Ubuntu, however tex generated with kdissert is
dependent on this file. It should probably be adjusted so that tex
exported is able to compile using Ubuntu

Oh yes, on a closer look the script mentioned on "7300Workaround" might
