Wouldn't the "fix" for this problem, be to "expunge" your messages? Why
do you keep so many delete messages around? Evolution is correct with
the way it handles deleted mail(marked as delete not moved to trash).
Other clients can be configured to work in this way and is the way the
IMAP standard

Ok, I think I got what the problem is. And, unfortunately, I think the solution
is out of reach, at least for me.
It seems we x86_64 are simply short of a usable working vesa module! That's
right, because:
vesafb doesn't work with newer cards. The fact that with x86 it works, it's
because it is
my bug report was added to this thread by mistake. only issue i had was
an xgl crash message on first restart after completion of upgrade to
hardy heron. however, i have not had any further recurrence of this bug
thereafter.

I ended up building my own kernel and building the recent iwl drivers
which seems to fix the hang up all together. Hopefully the latest iwl
drivers will be incorporated into the latest kernel as I couldn't wait

I am very upset with wine, as the announce for wine 0.9.52 reads: "Improved
graphics tablet support.".
I updated wine, tried out different applications, but none of them is even
recognizing the tablet, it acts like a normal mouse.
Maybe the "Improved support" did not mean the pressure to work, bu
Nuts. The fix mentioned above only lasted for a few hours - today Nautilus
search is dead again. But I do think that my adventure defines the "bug" at
hand as a Tracker, not a Nautilus problem.

I'm writing this on a Dell D531 laptop with fully working sound. It's a pain
but it will work.
Simply add the alsa backports and you're in business.
