In fact, I started by monitoring the load/unload parameter using hdparm
with Gutsy as well as with Vista. Then I noticed that there was indeed a

I get the message "Policy timeout is not valid. Please wait a few seconds and
try again" once in a while, too.
I'm running Gutsy on a Thinkpad T43p. Most of the time, suspend works fine. But
about 5% of the time, it doesn't do anything and the power manager shows that
message.

This is a bug. Packages depending on gnuchess expect a binary called
gnuchess. Calling the binary gnome-gnuchess should not be considered as
providing the dependency.

More details about my machines:
Gateway 7330GZ about 18 months old, Pentium 4, 3.06 G Hz, Fujitsu PATA HD 80
GB, with over 66,000 load cycles, came with Windows XP, using PC Linux for the
last 4 months only.
Tested yesterday with PC Linux and before I apply “-B 255” was ~ 60 load
This still happens, however, it's enough to modprobe -r usb_storage and
then mtp-detect should work.
