@marianne: I am using the cutting edge Kubuntu "Hardy Heron" (v8.04) repositories in my sources.list.
Here is how I installed fusion-icon: $ sudo aptitude install fusion-icon Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done The following NEW packages will be installed: fusion-icon 0 packages upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 28.8kB of archives. Done Get:1 http://be.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/universe fusion-icon 0.0.0+git20071028-0ubuntu2 [28.8kB] Fetched 28.8kB in 0s (83.0kB/s) Selecting previously deselected package fusion-icon. (Reading database ... 172361 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking fusion-icon (from .../fusion-icon_0.0.0+git20071028-0ubuntu2_all.deb) ... Setting up fusion-icon (0.0.0+git20071028-0ubuntu2) ... "Fusion-icon" replaces the old command "beryl-manager" that existed before compiz-fusion. Both are very handy tray icons.
