Whatever's currently on the Gutsy auto-update didn't fix the problem.
Had been working all morning in Writer, with auto-save set to every 15
minutes, when I tried to open something in Impress. Ubuntu asks if I
want to force Impress to quit -- and that's when I find out that Writer
goes down with th
I upgraded to kernel 2.6.22-gentoo-r9 (I am using Gentoo, so it's not
Ubuntu specific) and the same thing happens to me, seemingly randomly.
(Ctrl+T "locks up" for a few seconds in which time dozens of empty pages
opens and with my luck this problem reappears again when I close them
with Ctrl+W al

It means if you log in into your LTSP server to do administration tasks,
you should do it with a command like this "ssh [EMAIL PROTECTED]" instead
of "ssh -X [EMAIL PROTECTED]". Also you should check the X11Forwarding
option isn't enabled in your ssh server (it's disabled by default).

crash of "compiz --replace "
My machine then hanged and I had to do a hard reset.
logs_after_reset is the set of logs after I did the reset and logged into Gnome.
I'm closing this as invalid, because it seems to be the expected behaviour (at
least that powernowd is not used).
I'll provide a patch/debdiff for the other issues mentioned here
(ignore_nice_load and not using the ondemand scheduler if OPTIONS are given for
powernowd).

Thanks for this info, Krucova! It seems the bug might not be Ubuntu native
after all, but rather depending on an upgrade to kernel version 2.6.22
(although some report problems with 2.6.20-16-generic, with which I never
experienced any problems).
